The city assembly
The city assembly is comprised of 22 elected assembly members who represent the citizens.
At four regular sessions a year and extraordinary sessions where necessary, the assembly
members deliberate various bills that are closely related to citizen life while including
citizens’ opinions, for better city development.
In addition to the plenary sessions, there are three standing committees for: general
affairs and economy; education and welfare; and construction and the environment. Each
assembly member joins one of the three committees and conducts technical studies and
examinations.
