This course teaches students how to write critically. I emphasize in
my lectures the importance of forming an opinion, and I teach
writing techniques on how to express their opinions in writing.

TOEFL is the Test of English as a Foreign Language, and as such, it
is considered as a required test by more than 100 schools all
around the world. My lecture encourages students to study English
in such a way as to better perform in the TOEFL test. The lecture is
divided into three parts, Listening, Structure and Reading.

I encourage my students to use English as a communication tool,
constantly challenging them with topics such as international
issues, local economy and societal trends. The lecture is a mix of
light and heavy topics, designed to encourage students to
communicate.

As part of the Case Study series of lectures, this class focuses on
Japan and the Philippines, history, economy, global issues, and
impact on society. My lecture integrates both printed and digital
materials, in as such that I provide students with handouts, and we
watch relevant videos online. When possible, I also invite a guest
speaker to expose students to more information from a different
point of view.

I train students on how to take the TOEIC test, and the lecture
focuses on listening, i.e. photos, question/response, short
conversations and long talks, it also focuses on grammar structure
and word associations, and reading.
I teach a number of Speaking and Communication classes, both
beginner and intermediate. My lectures and class activities are
made to encourage students to use English in the classroom, even
when speaking with each other. I start with an orientation, and
lectures, but I always give the students the chance to speak. This I
do by having a lot of pair and pair-exchange interview-style
speaking activities.
Taught English listening, speaking and reading with the use of
textbooks and ALC Net Academy 2.
