Note Writer. This guide outlines the operating procedures and
safety precautions. Please read it carefully to make sure you are
using your product properly and retain it for future reference.

How to Use
About the Ink
The ink refill type is a standard D1 size. It is available in any
ordinary stationary store or online at www.lifetrons.com. The ink
refills come with a protective gel fitted onto the tip. If this is still
present, it must be removed before initial use. The top of the pen
cap also functions as an ink refill extractor (the metal part that has
an "X-shaped" cut-out).
A. How to Remove the Ink Refill
1. Take off the cap ➊.
2. Insert the tip of the ink refill into the middle of the extractor on
the pen cap ➋. While holding the pen, use the pen cap to apply
firm pressure against the ink refill while simultaneously twisting
the cap counter-clockwise.
3. Pull the used ink refill out.
Tip: Hold the pen body as stationary as possible, while twisting the
cap forcefully. Make sure the ink refill is firmly inserted into the cap.
B. How to Insert a New Ink Refill
1. Place the new ink refill into the opening of the pen tip.
2. Gently push the new ink refill into the pen.
C. Installing the Batteries
1. Unscrew the battery compartment cap ➌, located on the top of
the pen. Set the cap aside.
2. Prepare 2 SR41 button batteries to insert into the pen.
3. Install both batteries into your pen with the polarity (+) face up.
4. Refasten the battery compartment cap.
Tip: Make sure that the batteries are firmly in place. Sometimes
the small metal clip inside the pen's battery compartment can
become loose. If so, the pen will not connect to the reciever.
Double check that the metal clip and batteries are sitting firmly
in place.

E. Receiver Description
➍ Reset - If there is an error or malfunction, reset the receiver by
carefully inserting a needle into the reset hole.
➎ Mini-USB - Connect the receiver to your device via the included
mini-usb cable.
➏ LCD Display - Indicates the current page number, battery status
and operating mode.
➐ Power/Save Button - Push once to save your notes and start a
new page. Push and hold for 5 seconds to turn the receiver on
or off. (Note: In standby mode the receiver will turn off
automatically after 60 minutes)
➑ Clip - Fasten the receiver to the top of your paper with the clip
positioned in the middle.

Receiver Operation
D. Charging and Using the Receiver
The receiver records up to 190 A4 pages of notes which may then
be uploaded to a PC, Mac, iPod touch, iPhone or iPad. The
current page number, battery status and operating mode are
visible on the LCD display. The receiver has a built-in Lithium ion
battery. Please charge the receiver via USB before use. To charge,
connect the receiver via mini-USB cable ➒ to any USB port ➓.
While charging, the rolling battery icon will appear on the LCD
display. A three-level battery icon is shown when the receiver is
fully charged. The charging process may take up to 3 hours.
F. Icon Descriptions
� The receiver is connected to your device.
� The receiver's memory is full. Upload notes to your device
and clear the receiver’s memory.
� The pen batteries are low. Replace the batteries.
� The receiver is fully charged.
� Receiver in note mode. Pen detected and ready to
record notes.
� Number of notes saved in receiver’s memory. Flashing numbers
- the memory is full or an error has occurred.
G. Power/Save Button
Push and hold the power/save button for 5 seconds to turn the
receiver on or off. Make sure that the receiver has been charged in
order to turn it on.
After writing one page of notes, quickly press the power/save
button once to save your notes and begin a new page.
H. Resetting the Receiver
If there is an error or malfunction, you can reset the note receiver
by carefully inserting a needle into the reset hole. After the reset,
push and hold the power button to turn the receiver on. All of
your notes may be lost if they have not already been uploaded
to your device.
I. Attaching the Receiver to Paper
The following illustration shows how to clip the note receiver to a
pad of paper (maximum size: A4). Hold the receiver while gently
pressing the clip open and attach it to the paper. In order for the
note receiver to record your writing movements, it must be clipped
to the top of the paper in center. Do not let anything onstruct the
front of the receiver from detecting the pen.
B
After clipping the receiver into place, you are now ready to take
notes with the wireless pen. Take the cap off, hold the pen firmly
and begin to write or draw. The receiver will show the 'Note Mode'
icon when it detects writing movement. When you have finished
one page of notes, press the power/save button once to begin a
new page.
When you start writing, the display on the receiver should indicate
the note mode icon.
To save the page and move to the next page, press the
power/save button once. The number on the display will
go up by one, indicating the number of saved pages.
After your notes have been recorded, complete the software
or app installation before attempting to upload your notes to
your device.
Note: Do not block the signals being transmitted from the pen tip
to the receiver. Hold the pen between 45° and 90° to the paper
when writing. Do not hold the pen as you would a paintbrush.
Software Installation
This product comes with Note Manager Software (for Windows
only) and MyScript Studio Notes Edition for (Mac and Windows).
The software is located on the USB flash drive located inside the
storage pouch. You must install the software before you can
upload any notes to your computer.
Software for Windows
J. Installing and Using Note Manager for Windows
Your notes can be viewed in JPEG format with the Note Manager
software. You can also write using the wireless pen while the
receiver is connected directly to your computer (Windows only).
Your notes will appear onscreen in real time when writing.
1. Locate the Note Manager software on the USB flash drive and
run 'setup.exe' to begin the installation. Follow the instructions
on your computer until the installation is complete.
2. Connect the receiver to your computer via USB and upload
your notes.
3. This software does not digitize your notes. However, it does
allow you to edit, save, print or e-mail your notes.
4. Additionally, you can take notes and see your writing appear
onscreen in real time. Connect the receiver to your computer
and begin taking notes. Your notes will appear in real time on
your computer screen via the Note Manager software.

K. How to Install MyScript Studio Notes Edition (Windows)
The following steps will guide you through the MyScript Studio
Notes Edition installation for Windows OS. This is the handwriting
recognition software that converts your notes into editable,
digitized text.
1. Locate the MyScript Studio software on the USB flash drive and
begin the installation process. Follow the instructions on your
computer until the installation is complete.
2. During the installation you will be required to provide an
activation code. This code is printed on a sticker, which is
attached to the outside of the USB flash drive. When the
installation is complete, you will find three programs: MyScript
Studio, MyScript Ink Retriever and MyScript Trainer.

L. How to Use MyScript Studio Notes Edition (Windows)

computer via the included micro-USB cable. The MyScript Ink
Retriever software should open automatically. If it does not,
open the MyScript Ink Retriever software manually. Click "Next"
to go to "Retrieval settings". Here you may select a ink file
storage folder, automatically clear files after upload, launch
automatically at startup etc.
2. Set up the MyScript documents folder storage location. Click
"Browse" to choose the location for your notes to be saved.
3. Choose if you would like your notes to be deleted from the
receiver after they are downloaded. Click "Advanced settings".
If the "Clear files from the device after downloading" option is
checked, the receiver's memory will be cleared after you upload
your notes.
4. Download your notes from the receiver by clicking "Download
ink". You will see how many pages were successfully
downloaded. Then click "OK" to exit.
5. Open the MyScript Studio Notes software. Your handwritten
notes should appear on the home page. Choose the note that
you want to edit and double click it. You will now see your note
in a larger format on the left-hand side of the screen.
6. Click the "Convert" button to convert your handwritten notes
into digitized text. Click "Current global settings" to change
content range, language settings, handwriting style and more.
7. Click "Export" to export your handwritten notes or digital text as
an e-mail, Microsoft word document or image.

Transfer Notes
O. Transfer Notes from Note Receiver to iPod touch,
iPhone, iPad
The Lifetrons app "BizWriter" for iPod touch/iPhone or "BizWriter
HD" for iPad is available for free on the Apple App Store. Please
note that this app is only available in English.
1. Go to the Apple App Store and download "BizWriter" for iPod
touch/ iPhone or "BizWriter HD" for iPad.
2. The "BizWriter" or "BizWriter HD" app icon will appear on your
device's homescreen once the installation is complete.
3. Connect the receiver to your iPod touch/iPhone/iPad via the
included 30-pin or Lightning to USB cable.
4. After the initial installation, the “App Not Installed” window
will pop up. Select "Ignore". Close and re-open the app
to continue.
5. Select "Digital Pen" and then select "Upload pictures". Your
notes will be transferred from the receiver to the photo library of
your device.
6. The message "Pictures were uploaded to the photo album!’’ will
automatically appear. Select "OK".
7. Select "Edit". Select "Open a picture". Select "Photo Albums".
8. Select ‘Camera Roll’. Now select the note you wish to open.
9. Your note will appear inside the app. You are now able to: save
the note as a picture, e-mail the note as a picture, e-mail the
note as a PDF, and write or draw on top of the note. After saving
the note you can also easily share the image with friends via
social media or SMS.
10. After you have uploaded your notes, you can delete them from
the receiver. Select "Digital Pen", then select "Clear my Digital
Pen" to delete the stored notes in the receiver.
Note: You may need to reinstall the app after upgrading the iOS on
your device.

A. Entfernung der Tintenpatrone
1. Nehmen Sie die Verschlusskappe ab ➊.
2. Stecken Sie die Spitze der Tintennachfüllung in die Mitte des
Abziehers auf der Verschlusskappe des Stifts ➋. Während Sie
den Stift halten, verwenden Sie die Verschlusskappe, um
einen kräftigen Druck auf die Tintennachfüllung auszuüben,
wobei Sie die Verschlusskappe gleichzeitig gegen den
Uhrzeigersinn drehen.

C. Einlegen der Batterien
1. Entfernen Sie die Batteriefachabdeckung ➌, die sich auf der
Oberseite des Stifts befindet. Legen Sie die Abdeckung beiseite.
2. Bereiten Sie 2 SR41-Knopfbatterien zum Einsetzen in den
Stift vor.
3. Legen Sie beide Batterien mit der Polarität (+) nach oben in den
Stift ein.
4. Schließen Sie den Batteriefachdeckel.
Tipp: Stellen Sie sicher, dass die Batterien fest an ihrem Platz sind.
Manchmal kann die kleine Metallklammer im Batteriefach des
Stifts locker werden. Ist dies der Fall, wird der Empfänger nicht
mit dem Stift verbunden. Vergewissern Sie sich, dass die
Metallklammer und die Batterien fest an ihrem Platz sind.
Bedienung des Empfängers
D. Aufladung und Verwendung der Batterien
Der Empfänger zeichnet bis zu 190 A4-Seiten Notizen auf, die

mit einem beliebigen USB-Port ➓. Während des Ladevorgangs
erscheint das rollende Batterie-Symbol auf der LCD-Anzeige. Ein
dreistufiges Batteriesymbol erscheint, wenn der Empfänger voll
aufgeladen ist. Der Ladevorgang kann bis zu 3 Stunden in
Anspruch nehmen.
E. Empfänger Beschreibung

(Anmerkung: Im Stand-by-Modus wird der Empfänger nach 60
Minuten automatisch ausgeschaltet.)
➑ Klammer - Befestigen Sie den Empfänger mit der Klammer in
der Mitte am oberen Rand des Papiers.
F. Beschreibung der Symbole

H. Zurücksetzen des Empfängers

Nadel in die Reset-Öffnung einstechen. Nachdem das Gerät
zurückgesetzt worden ist, drücken und halten Sie zum Einschalten
des Empfängers die Stromtaste. Dabei können all Ihre Notizen, die
nicht bereits auf Ihr Gerät geladen worden sind, verloren gehen.

A. Comment retirer la recharge d'encre
1. Retirer le couvercle ➊.

B. Comment insérer une nouvelle recharge d'encre
1. Placer la nouvelle recharge d'encre dans l'orifice de la pointe
du stylo.
2. Enfoncez doucement la recharge dans le stylo.
C. Installation des piles
1. Dévissez le couvercle de la pile qui se situe au dessus du stylo
➌. Posez le couvercle sur le côté.
2. Préparez les piles de type 2 SR41 pour les insérer dans
le stylo.
3. Installez les deux piles dans le stylo en placant la polarité (+)
vers le haut.
4. Refermez le couvercle des piles.
Conseil: Assurez-vous que les piles soient bien disposées. Il se
peut que l'agrafe métallique à l'intérieur du stylo se desserre.
Dans ce cas, le stylo ne pourra pas se connecter au récepteur.
Bien vérifier que l'agrafe métallique et les piles soient
correctement disposées.
Fonctionnement du récepteur
D. Recharge et utilisation du récepteur
Le récepteur enregistre jusqu'à 190 pages A4 de notes qui
peuvent ensuite être téléchargées sur un PC, Mac, iPod Touch,
iPhone ou iPad. Le numéro de page en cours, le statut des piles
et le mode de fonctionnement sont visibles sur l'écran LCD. Le
récepteur comprend une pile en Lithium ion intégrée. Veuillez
charger le récepteur à l'aide du câble USB avant utilisation. Pour
le charger, branchez le récepteur via le câble mini-USB ➒ à
n'importe quel port ➓. Lors du chargement, l'icône de la pile
en charge apparait à l'écran LCD. Lorsque le récepteur est
entièrement chargé, une icône de pile à trois niveaux s'affiche.
Le chargement peut prendre jusqu'à 3 heures.

G. Touche Power/Enregistrer
Appuyez et maintenez la touche Power/Enregistrer pendant 5
secondes pour allumer ou éteindre le récepteur. Assurez-vous que
le récepteur a été chargé pour pouvoir l'allumer.
Après avoir écrit une page de notes, appuyez une fois rapidement
sur la touche power/enregistrer pour enregistrer vos notes et
commencer une nouvelle page.
H. Réinitialiser le récepteur
En cas d'erreur ou de dysfonctionnement, vous pouvez réinitialiser
le récepteur en insérant avec précaution une aiguille dans l'orifice
de réinitialisation (Reset). Une fois la réinitialisation effectuée,
appuyez et maintenez la touche power pour allumer le récepteur. Il

d'écriture, il doit être clippé au dessus et au centre du bloc.
Attention à ce que rien ne gêne le devant du récepteur pour la
détection du stylo.

C. Instalando las pilas
1. Quite los tornillos del compartimento de las pilas ➌, en la parte
superior del lápiz. Deje la tapa a un lado.

E. Descripción del receptor
➍ Reset - Si ocurre un error o mal funcionamiento, resetee el
receptor introduciendo un alfiler cuidadosamente en el agujero
del receptor.

4. Téléchargez vos notes à partir du récepteur en cliquant sur

Transférer des notes
O. Transférer des notes depuis le récepteur vers l'iPod touch,
iPhone, iPad
L'application de Lifetrons "BizWriter" pour iPod touch/iPhone ou
"BizWriter HD" pour iPad est disponible gratuitement dans la
boutique Apple Store d'Apple. Veuillez noter que cette application
n'est disponible qu'en anglais.
1. Rendez-vous sur la boutique Apple App Store et téléchargez
"BizWriter" pour iPod touch/iPhone ou "BizWrtier HD"
pour iPad.
2. Licône de l'application "BizWriter" ou "BizWriter HD"
apparaitra sur l'écran d'accueil de votre appareil une fois
l'installation terminée.
3. Raccordez le récepteur à votre iPod touch/iPhone/iPad via la
broche-30 fournie ou Éclair au câble USB.
4. Après l'installation initiale, la fenêtre "Application non installée"
s'affichera. Sélectionnez "Ignorer". Fermer et ré-ouvrir
l'application pour continuer.
5. Sélectionnez "Stylo électronique" puis choisir "Télécharger
images". Vos notes seront transférées depuis le récepteur vers
la galerie photos de votre appareil.
6. Le message "Les images ont été téléchargées dans l'album
photo!" s'affichera automatiquement. Sélectionnez "OK".
7. Sélectionnez "Modifier". Choisir "Ouvrir une image". Choisir
"Albums Photos".
8. Sélectionnez "Péllicule". Choisissez désormais la note que vous
souhaitez ouvrir.
9. Votre note s'affichera à l'intérieur de l'application. Vous pouvez
désormais: sauvegarder la note en format image, l'envoyer par
courriel sous format image ou PDF et écrire ou dessiner
par-dessus la note. Après avoir sauvegarder la note vous
pouvez facilement partager l'image avec vos amis via les
réseaux sociaux ou SMS.
10. Après avoir téléchargé vos notes, vous pouvez les effacer de
votre récepteur. Sélectionnez "Stylo électronique", puis choisir
"Vider mon stylo électronique" pour effacer les notes
enregistrées dans le récepteur.

3. Retirez la recharge d'encre.
Conseil: Tenir le corps du stylo de façon immobile tout en faisant
tourner le capuchon. Assurez-vous que la recharge d'encre est
correctement insérée dans le capuchon.
B. Comment insérer une nouvelle recharge d'encre
1. Placer la nouvelle recharge d'encre dans l'orifice de la pointe
du stylo.
2. Enfoncez doucement la recharge dans le stylo.
C. Installation des piles
1. Dévissez le couvercle de la pile qui se situe au dessus du stylo
➌. Posez le couvercle sur le côté.
2. Préparez les piles de type 2 SR41 pour les insérer dans
le stylo.
3. Installez les deux piles dans le stylo en placant la polarité (+)
vers le haut.

Conseil: Assurez-vous que les piles soient bien disposées. Il se

D. Caricamento e uso del ricevitore
Il ricevitore memorizza fino a 190 pagine A4 di appunti che
possono successivamente essere caricate su PC, Mac, iPod
touch, iPhone o iPad. Il numero attuale di pagine, lo stato della
batteria e la modalità di funzionamento sono visibili sul display
LCD. Il ricevitore è dotato di una batteria agli ioni di litio
incorporata. Caricare il ricevitore tramite USB prima dell'uso.
Per caricare, collegare il ricevitore tramite il cavo mini USB ➒

Dopo avere scritto una pagina di appunti, premere brevemente il
pulsante di alimentazione/salvataggio per salvare gli appunti e
iniziare una nuova pagina.
H. Ripristino del ricevitore
In caso di errore o malfunzionamento, è possibile ripristinare il
ricevitore di appunti inserendo con attenzione un ago nel foro
di ripristino. Dopo il ripristino, tenere premuto il pulsante di
alimentazione per accendere il ricevitore. Tutti gli appunti
potrebbero andare perduti se non sono stati già caricati
sul dispositivo.
I. Collegare il ricevitore alla carta
L'immagine seguente mostra come agganciare il ricevitore di
appunti a un foglio di carta (dimensione massima: A4). Tenere il
ricevitore e aprire con delicatezza il gancetto agganciandolo alla
carta. Affinché il ricevitore di appunti possa memorizzare la

al centro. Non lasciare che eventuali oggetti ostruiscano la parte

con la penna wireless. Rimuovere il cappuccio, prendere la penna
e iniziare a scrivere o disegnare. Il ricevitore mostrerà l'icona

如何使用
笔芯
其更换笔芯型式为标准D1规格，一般文具店或上网
www.lifetrons.com 即可购得。更换笔芯前请先移除笔尖前端
的保护胶以便使用 。笔盖顶端亦可用作更换笔芯之按取器(金属部
分作成 "X-型" 切槽)。

D. 接收器之充电及使用
此接收器可记录多达190页A4大小所载之手稿，草图或简图并上
传至你的 iPod touch， iPhone， iPad， Mac or PC等装置。
LCD 显示器上会显示出目前所处页码，电池用电量及作业模式。
此接收器内建一颗锂电池，请于使用前用 USB确实充电。进行充
电作业前， 先将接收器以mini-USB线 ➒ 连接至任一USB埠 ➓。
在充电作业进行中，LCD 显示器上会显示出转动的电池图
标，而当屏幕上出现三格电池图示时即表示此接收器已完成充
电 。整个充电作业约需时3小时。

3. 此软件虽不会将手稿数字化， 但可进行编辑，储存打印及
email等功能。
4. 另外，你亦可以即写即传的方式将手稿显示在计算机屏幕上。

iPod touch/iPhone专用之 Lifetrons app "BizWriter" 应用程序
或iPad专用之 "BizWriter HD" 应用程序可于Apple App Store购
得。此应用程序只发行英文版。
1. 进入 Apple App Store下载 iPod touch/ iPhone专用
"BizWriter" 或 iPad专用"BizWriter HD"。
2. 当安装完成后，"BizWriter" 或 "BizWriter HD" 应用程序之图
式会出现在装置首页。
3. 使用所附之30-pin，Lightning 或 USB线将接收器连接至
iPod touch/iPhone/iPad等装置。
4. 完成初始安装后，画面上会跳出“App Not Installed应用程序
未安装完成”的窗口。选择 "Ignore忽略"，然后关掉再重新开
启应用程序app继续操作。
5. 选择 "Digital Pen数字笔" 及"Upload pictures上传图片"，你
的手稿笔记即会由接收器传输至指定装置的图片库内。
6. 此时会自动出现 "Pictures were uploaded to the photo
album!图片已上传至相簿!" 之讯息，选择 "OK"。
7. 选择 "Edit编辑"。选择 "Open a picture开启图档"。 选择
"Photo Albums相簿"。
8. 选择 "Camera Roll相机胶卷"，然后选择你要开启的图档。
9. 当你的手稿出现在应用程序中，你即可选择作以下的处理，
如 将手稿以影像存盘，将手稿以影像发送e-mail，将手稿以
PDF发送e-mail以及在手稿笔记上进行手写或手绘作业 。将手
稿笔记存盘后，你也可轻松将所存图文件以社群网络或SMS分
享给亲朋好友。
10. 当完成手稿档案上传后即可将其自接收器内存内删除，选择
"Digital Pen数字笔"，然候选择 "Clear my Digital Pen清空
我的数字笔" 以删除存于接收器内存内之档案。
注意: 当完成iOS系统升级后，你可能需要重新进行应用程序app
的安装作业。

C. バッテリーのインストール
1. ペンのトップにあるバッテリーコンパートメントのキャップのネジ

転送の注意事項
O. Note ReceiverからiPod touch、

iPod touch/iPhone用のLifetronsアプリBizWriterまたは、
iPad用
BizWriter HDは、
Apple App Storeから無料で入手できます。

リは英語でのみ利用できることに留意してください。
1. Apple App Storeを表示させ、

BizWriter、
