RESEARCH INTERESTS
My research focuses on high dynamic range imaging, especially applying knowledge related to human
visual perception to computer graphics tasks, such as tone mapping. The motivation is to generate
images that give the viewer the same impression as the scenes where the HDR images were taken. My
dissertation explores reproducing colors under the mesopic vision conditions, simulating afterimages
with continuous color transition based on experimental data, and compressing/displaying spectral
images efficiently.
