IDEA リーグの加盟大学２校より、大学院生を対象としたサマースクールの案内が届きましたので、下記の
通り学内募集を行います。今回募集するサマースクールの本学からの推薦者は、学内選考（面接）により決定
します。最終的な参加の可否は主催大学により決定されます。
本サマースクールは、IDEA リーグ加盟大学（アーヘン工科大学、デルフト工科大学、ETH チューリッヒ、シャ
ルマーズ工科大学）の学生を対象として開催されるものですが、ASPIRE リーグ加盟大学（香港科技大学、韓国
科学技術院（KAIST）、南洋理工大学、清華大学、東京工業大学）の学生を対象として参加の招待があったも
のです。

「TASTE(Tokyo Tech Abroad Short-Term Education)海外短期語学学習」の対象プログラム
の一つとしてアーヘン工科大学サマースクールが含まれているが、本募集とは別のプログラム
になるので、注意すること。

③学内選考会（下記 8 を参照すること）に参加できる者
２．推薦人数
各 1 名以内
３．費
用 自己負担：渡航費用、海外旅行保険等、その他個人的な活動にかかる経費。
※受講料・宿舎費・食費・スタディートリップ参加費等、サマースクール参加にかかる費用はサ
マースクール主催大学が負担。

※書類不備、及び提出期限を過ぎた場合は受け付けないので、注意すること。

８．学内選考
面接により推薦者を決定する。4 月 28 日（月）午後 3 時以降を予定しているので、予定をあ
けておくこと。最終的な参加決定は、サマースクール主催大学が行う。
９．備考
学内選考通過者については以下の事項に対し留意すること。
＊アーヘン工科大学及びデルフト工科大学のサマースクールに関して、開催 2 週間以内に
キャンセルする場合、キャンセル料 150 ユーロを徴収する場合がある。詳細は提出書類③
Application Form 内の Cancellation Charges を参照（キャンセルに対して別の候補者を推薦
することは保証しない）。
＊「誓約書（様式あり。署名者：本人及び保証人等）」を提出すること。
＊大学の指定する海外旅行保険（保険会社は原則として、東京海上。補償内容は、治療・
救援費用が 3,000 万円以上、個人賠償責任が 1 億円以上とすること。）に必ず加入するこ
と。

Facing Moral Complexity
Professional Ethics for Architects and Urbanists
TU Delft, 7-12 July 2014
Description
Today‘s architects and urbanists face societal
and environmental challenges of an unprecedented scale and complexity. They often work on
commissions that frequently operate in delicate
contexts – contexts that sometimes even
presuppose or facilitate the exploitation of
human labor and environmental resources alike.
Such factors pose inescapable questions of moral
complicity. But where do the architect’s and
urbanist’s professional and moral responsibilities
really lie today? And how are we to engage them
in a clearer and more conscientious manner?
In this Summer School, students will work closely
with international experts from the EU, the U.S.,
and Canada, to learn more about the specific
ethical challenges that practitioners face today –
and to get acquainted with new models and
frameworks to address such contemporary moral
challenges head-on. We discuss questions of
professional and moral responsibility at a local to
a global level, and pose them in concrete
contexts from large-scale multi-national
corporations to localized projects on historical
preservation. You will meet experienced
practitioners whose reflections are informed by
their personal experience, and who have
published to wide acclaim on these topics. On
top, you will gather firsthand exposure to some
of the Netherlands’ newest and most ground
breaking architecture – guided by the architects
themselves.

SAFE AND SUSTAINABLE TRANSPORT
Future passenger and freight transportation challenges Solutions and trends

Description
Regarding environmental protection as well as
increasing mobility and cargo demand, the issues
safety and sustainability are focal points for
future development of passenger vehicles,
commercial cargo vehicles and mobility systems
in general. Hence, the Mobility Summer School
2014 will deal with technologies that may ensure
safe and sustainable road transportation as well
as mobility concepts to fulfil a safe and
sustainable future mobility demand in general.

• Deepening group work
In this Summer School, we will start with the
identification of challenges towards future road
transportation in general. Future concepts for
individual mobility and freight transport will be
presented and discussed in a second step. Based
on this analysis we take a look into new markets
for mobility and transportation concepts . This is
followed by the question, if changes in
transportation will lead to new business models
for vehicle manufacturers, suppliers and
transport utilities.

During the summer school, lectures will be given
by various academic and industrial experienced
