FUCHU FURNITURE, based in Hiroshima, situated in the western part of the Japanese mainland, has been inheriting history
and high quality craftsmanship as a major source of furniture for many years. Based on inherited techniques and tradition,
the new brand “Matsuso T” has been launched to express modern ideas and interpretations through furniture.
Employing only the highest quality materials and manufacturing methods, Matsuso T is focused on a new vision of contemporary furniture
design tailored for modern lifestyles to the highest levels of craftsmanship.
日本本州の西部、広島で古くから家具の産地として、
歴史と高い職人技を脈々と受け継いできた府中家具。

現代的な新しい発想と解釈を家具で表現するた為に
この新しいブランド﹁
優れた材料を選びぬく目、素材を生かす為の技術、
意匠に合わせた最適な加工道具をも自ら作る探究心。
それらが作り出す新しい家具意匠と
生活への提案がここにあります。
日本の木工職人が伝統的に培ってきた木を
組み合わせる技術を応用して進化させ、
最小限の部材で大きな強度を生み出す構造に
たどり着くことができました。
その結果、出来上がった椅子は非常に軽く、
可憐であり、構造そのものがこの椅子の
特徴的な立ち姿を作り出しています。
Sally
With the 'Sally' chair, we have finally succeeded in producing a really strong
structure with minimum parts. Once again, we have worked closely with the
carpenters at Matsuso T in order to find elegant solutions and refined details
by applying traditional wood joining techniques of Japanese craftsman.
The resulting chair is extremely lightweight and dainty in appearance, with a
structure that imbues it with its own, special character.

直角に組まれた木材と柔らかく張られた
布地のコントラストが特徴的な棚のファミリーです。
様々な方向からアプローチできる特徴をもつ
こ の 棚 は 、 空 間 を 仕 切 る ディ バ イ ダ ー と し て の
性格も併せもっています。布地が張られた
扉部分を開くと脚の部分が消え去り、
全体が浮き上がったような不思議な
印象を作り出します。
Molly
The 'Molly' shelf series has an unusual expression stemming from the contrast
between crisp, right-angled wood joints of the structure and generous, fabriccovered surfaces. The shelf is accessible from many different directions, and has
size and presence enough to work well as a room divider. When the doors are
opened, the legs of shelf are obscured from view, giving the shelf the appearance
of floating just above the floor.

この ﹁
﹂は 明 る い 色 と 暗 い 色 の 木 材 種 を
Wafer
組み合わせることで生まれる縞模様が特徴の
家具シリーズです。子供の頃から慣れ親しんだ
お菓子の﹁ウエハース﹂のように、ウォールナットと
メイプルの木材料が重ねられています。
二種類の異なる材木を組み合わせて一枚のなめらかな
表面を作り出す為に非常に難しい製造技術を要し、
最終的にはそれぞれのアイテムに応じた
最良の幅のストライプパターンが採用されています。
Wafer
The Wafer collection combines light and dark-coloured wood in stripes.
The effect of the walnut and maple is both graphic and fun, like the familiar
confectionery wafers you couldn't stop eating as a kid. But it is also technically
challenging to combine two types of wood. And, not least, to seamlessly
morph round-section legs that meet flat planes. Finally, The stripe pattern has
a different scale for each piece of the collection, fitting the size and geometry best.

Claesson Koivisto Rune was founded in Stockholm in 1995 by Mårten Claesson, Eero Koivisto and Ola Rune.
It started as – and still is – an architectural office, but has since become multi - disciplinary,
which in this case means that product design is also practiced with an equal emphasis.
クラーソン・コイヴィスト・ルーネは Mårten Claesson、Eero Koivisto、Ola Rune の３人によって 1995 年にスウェーデンのストックホルムで設立されました。
以降、現在に至るまで建築設計とプロダクトデザインに等しく重点を置いた複合的な活動を実践しています。
