プロジェクト研究「地震津波の即時予測技術高度化研究」および「津波被害軽減のための基盤的
研究」において、下記のいずれか一つ以上の研究開発を実施する。
（１）津波即時予測技術の高度化に関する研究開発
業務内容
（２）地震動即時予測技術の高度化に関する研究開発
（３）地震津波の被害推定及び即時把握技術の高度化に関する研究開発
（４）地震津波に関する自動解析システムに関する研究開発
（５）地震津波の観測予測情報利活用に関する研究開発
(1)博士の学位を有する者（雇用開始時までに取得見込みの者を含む）またはこれと同等以上の
応募資格
学識経験を有するものであって、上記研究開発業務に従事するに十分な研究能力と意欲を
有すること。
(2)本業務の遂行に関連する研究開発分野に関して十分な知識を有すること。
勤務地
茨城県つくば市天王台３－１
平成２７年４月１日から平成２８年３月３１日まで
雇用期間
ただし、予算の状況、従事している業務の必要性及び勤務成績により、期間満了時に更新するこ
とがある（１事業年度単位で４回を限度とする）。

NIED offers a few positions of contract researcher (Researcher type) at
Affiliation/Position
Earthquake and Volcano Research Unit, Monitoring and Forecast Research
Department.
Under the project “Improving the technology for immediate precisely
forecasting earthquakes and tsunami” and “Basic research to mitigate the
damage caused by tsunami”, the successful candidate will conduct more
than one of following duties:
(1) Research and develop the technology for immediate forecasting
tsunami precisely.
(2) Research and develop the technology for immediate forecasting

(3) Research and develop the technology to estimate the damage by
earthquakes and tsunami and improve the skill to understand the
situation promptly.
(4) Research and develop the automatic analyzing earthquakes and
tsunami system
(5) Research and develop utilization the data to monitor and forecast
earthquakes and tsumami.
(1) Applicants are required to hold Ph.D. degrees (including who will be able
to obtain it before arriving at the post) or to have the equivalent level of
academic knowledge and to have enough ability and motivation in order

to conduct the above researches.
(2) Applicants are required to have high knowledge and experiences of
analyzing earthquake sources process with strong-motion data.

Successful applicants will be employed from April 1, 2015 to March 31,

Term of employment may be extended by evaluating individual research
works and project budgets etc. (Up to 4 times renew per fiscal year)
