Robert Parker has called DeLille Cellars the “Lafite Rothschild of Washington State.” It is no coincidence that this
boutique winery is often compared with First-Growth Bordeaux Chateaux. DeLille Cellars is dedicated to handcrafting elegant wines in the Bordeaux and Rhône style, using only the very finest hand sorted grape clusters to
make their wine. These sophisticated wines are made to uncompromising standards of quality. All of the wines
are aged in new French oak and are bottled unfiltered. Winemaker Chris Upchurch talks in terms of ‘complete
wine’, with qualities like opulence, mouthfeel, balance and elegance. Chris’ goal is simple: to blend the very best
hand-crafted, Bordeaux and Rhône style red and white wines made in the state of Washington. A satestament to his
success, DeLille set the record for the highest price paid for a bottle of Washington State wine at auction
($16,000 in 1997).

Doug McCrea draws on his background as an accomplished classical and jazz musician, composer, arranger
and educator for inspiration in his winemaking. Born in New Orleans and raised in the San Francisco Bay
area, he developed an early appreciation for fine food, wine and music. After a 14-year career in music, Doug
moved to the Pacific Northwest and soon began to experiment with producing small lots of wine. Before
founding McCrea Cellars in 1988, Doug spent several years working at two Puget Sound wineries while studying enology through courses at the University of California, Davis. McCrea likens his winemaking philosophy
to his experience as a musician: “a winemaker captures the grape’s subtle aromas and flavors, nurturing and
expanding these elements. Like musical improvisation, he applies his personal expression or ‘signature’. Both
fields provide the ability to release creativity.”

The third winery to be established in the Walla Walla Valley, L’Ecole No 41 has been a leader in the production
of premium handcrafted varietal wines in Washington State since 1983. The family owned winery is located
in an old schoolhouse built in 1915 in historic Frenchtown, just west of Walla Walla. The name - L’Ecole No 41,
French for “the school located in district number 41”, was chosen to salute the pioneering viticultural efforts
of the French-Canadians who settled the area. L’Ecole is one of the most recognized and acclaimed wineries
in Washington State, having been honored by Wine & Spirits Magazine as Winery of the Year for 13 consecutive years; and in 2014 winning the prestigious Decanter World Wine Awards International Trophy for ‘Best
in Show, Red Bordeaux Varietals over £15’ for their 2011 Ferguson Vineyard bottling. The winery is however
perhaps best known for being one of the top American producers of Merlot and Semillon.

Owner and winemaker Rick Small’s family has been farming the same land where Woodward Canyon’s vineyards now lie for three generations. Rick first planted vineyards here in the late 1970’s, and Woodward Canyon
was the second winery to be established in the Walla Walla appellation in 1981, after Leonetti. With deep
roots in the land, Rick Small is one of a handful of the Washington wine industry’s ‘elder statesmen’ that have
devoted their lives to producing some of the world’s finest wines in Washington. Woodward Canyon wines
express the passion and intensity of Rick Small’s devotion to his work - he personally oversees the crafting
of each of his wines from vine to bottle. Painstaking effort is taken in each step of the winemaking process,
from canopy and irrigation management in the vineyard to ageing oak in order to make his own barrels at the
winery. Rick’s vision for his wine has always been quality over quantity, and his enduring reputation as one of
Washington’s finest winemakers is testament to his success. Woodward Canyon wines are never fined nor filtered and are always expertly handcrafted. Rick Small’s intimate knowledge of the land and passion for quality

Charles bottles his brands under several labels. Charles Smith Wines are made for the way that most wines are
being consumed today - the day that they are purchased - and are equal parts accessible, affordable and top
quality. Charles also produces some of the most interesting and highly rated Syrah in America under his original K Vintners label. K Vintners’ wines are made in very small quantities and are crafted to appeal to the most

Long Shadows Vintners was founded in 2002 by Washington wine visionary Allen Shoup, who as President and
CEO of Chateau Ste. Michelle from 1984-2000 forged internationally acclaimed winemaking partnerships with
Piero Antinori (Col Solare) and Dr. Ernst Loosen (Eroica Riesling). Long Shadows Vintners now builds upon those
successes by bringing an elite cadre of the world’s most celebrated winemakers from the finest wine regions
around the globe to Washington in order to create world class wines that showcase the viticultural excellence
of Washington State’s Columbia Valley. Each celebrated vintner partners individually with Shoup and resident

Old World Sensibility in Oregon
Founded in 1996 by Oregon native Jay Christopher Somers, J. Christopher specializes in Pinot Noir made in
the classic style of Burgundy and Sauvignon Blanc modeled after the great wines of Sancerre. Traditional Old
World and biodynamic vineyard management principles are followed: don’t force the vineyard, don’t overirrigate, don’t use chemicals, and do all the hand labor right. J. Christopher winery and the Estate vineyard are
located in the picturesque Chehalem Mountains at the Northern end of the Willamette Valley: a region beautifully suited to this natural winegrowing philosophy. In 2010 Jay Somers formed a partnership with famed German winemaker Ernst Loosen - a fellow self-described “Pinot freak” - who shared Jay’s extraordinary passion
for Pinot Noir and commitment to crafting small lot, terrior-driven wines. J. Christopher wines do not try to
replicate Burgundy or Sancerre in the New World, but rather to bring an Old World sensibility to the creation
of New World wine — a sensibility that favors great structure and expression of place.

Located in rural Carlton, Oregon, Ken Wright Cellars is devoted to single vineyard Pinot Noir that
showcase the terroir of some of the Willamette Valley’s top vineyards. Assiduous attention is paid to optimal
site selection and vineyard health. Source is everything. When you work with great sites, great things can happen. These great things cannot happen without a commitment by the vineyard owner to the health of the
vineyard and extremely low crop levels that ensure intensity of aroma, flavor and texture. Certain things in
this world are better left alone. Minimal handling of the of the wine is essential to preserve what it is, a gift of
nature. This winemaking philosophy defines Ken Wright Cellars. Ken Wright is very active in local charities and
was instrumental in organizing the six new American Viticultural Areas that define the Northern Willamette
Valley. Ken wrote the proposition for the Yamhill-Carlton AVA and served as the association’s first President.

Domaine Serene Vineyards and Winery produces exquisite estate grown Pinot Noir and Chardonnay made
atop the renowned Dundee Hills of Oregon. Its vineyard management and winemaking practices are
designed to ensure complex, concentrated and elegant Pinot Noir and Chardonnay year after year, and all
resources are focused on this goal. Domaine Serene’s farming practices are designed to produce very low
crop levels to ensure concentrated flavors - the average yield is only 1.7 tons per acre across all varietals. All
of Domaine Serene’s grapes are handpicked and hand-sorted. The various small lots from each vineyard are
kept separate in small open-top fermentors and aged in French cooperage selectively sourced from several
French forests. There is minimal intervention and only gentle gravity flow movement of wine from beginning
to end. Pinot Noir is in barrel about 14-18 months, is not fined or filtered, and is racked only at bottling. The
Estate-grown Dijon clone Chardonnay is aged sur lies for 10-15 months in French oak barrels. Bottled wines
are aged about one year or longer before release.

A World Apart
King Estate is nestled in the bucolic Lorane Valley about 150 kilometers south of the better known Pinot Noir
growing region around Dundee and Yamhill-Carlton in the northern Willamette Valley. Although farther
to the south, King Estate lies closer to the cool breezes of the Pacific Ocean, resulting in a slightly cooler climate that renders an elegant and crisp style of wine. The manor house-style winery atop the estate’s central
hill commands an Arcadian view of the 1,033 acre estate surrounded by pastures and ringed by forested
mountains, and a first time visitor gets the sense of stepping back into a simpler time, when the rhythm of
life was intimately connected with the turn of the seasons and the bounty of the earth. The certified organic
vineyards are planted mainly to Pinot Noir and Pinot Gris and are interspersed with fruit tree orchards,

A Family Business
The Bogle family has been farming in the Sacramento River Delta for six generations. The first 20 acres of vines
were planted in 1968 near the small farming community of Clarksburg. Today Bogle Vineyards farms over
1,500 acres of wine grapes in the Clarksburg AVA and other select California winegrowing regions including
Old Vine Zinfandel from Lodi and Amador and Sauvignon Blanc and Pinot Noir from the cool Monterey and
Russian River Valley AVA’s. The Bogle family’s deep respect for the land and generational commitment to putting consistent, honest value in the bottle is rooted in one over-arching philosophy: the family is involved in

A Napa Legend
Freemark Abbey was one of the very first wineries in Napa Valley, with a continuous history dating back to
1886. The stone winery which is still in use today was built at the turn of the century. The winery’s tradition
of winemaking excellence continues to this day with wines that over-deliver on quality and pedigree. The
grapes for the red wines are sourced primarily from the Rutherford AVA and complemented with top-quality
fruit from Howell Mountain and Mount Veeder; while the Chardonnay is from the much cooler Los Carneros
area. Winemaker Ted Edwards has been at the winemaking helm of Freemark Abbey and working with many
of the same growers for almost 30 years, bringing a master’s touch and consistency to this Napa Legend.

TEXTBOOK wines are so named because they consistently exhibit the characteristics that define classic Napa
Valley and Oakville District wines: in short, TEXTBOOK wines are ‘textbook’ examples of the finest that Napa
Valley has to offer. Owner and winemaker Jonathan Pey and his wife Susan draw upon a combined 50 years
of experience in fine wine: Jonathan has overseen winemaking in France, Italy, Portugal, Australia and New
Zealand; and Susan is one of the most prominent restaurant wine buyers in North America - tasting and evaluating hundreds of wines per week. All grapes are hand-picked from the very best sustainably-farmed Napa
Valley vineyards. Boulder Block vineyard is the primary source for TEXTBOOK Cabernet and is located directly
next door to Screaming Eagle; while the main source for the Merlot (Holmes Vineyard) is adjacent to Opus One
and Paradigm, and just downslope from Harlan Estate. The hand-sorted grapes are fermented in small lots,
fined in the traditional method with organic egg whites and bottled unfiltered.

Chalk Hill is the only 100% estate winery in the Chalk Hill/Russian River Valley AVA in Sonoma County. Founded in 1972, Chalk Hill’s unique topography and climactic and geological diversity allow both Burgundian and
Bordeaux varieties to produce world class wines on the Estate. Chalk Hill has been a leader in clonal research
for many years and each unique vineyard plot is meticulously matched to the grape variety and clone to which

Classic Bordeaux
The Barton family has been continuously active in the wine business in Bordeaux since Thomas Barton arrived
from his native Ireland in 1725. Thomas’ grandson Hugh Barton purchased Chateau Langoa in 1821 and part
of the Léoville Estate in 1826, this part becoming Léoville Barton. These two great estates are among only
three in all of Bordeaux that are still in the same family that owned them when the classification system was introduced in 1855. Today the estates are run by Anthony Barton, while his daughter Lilian operates the family’s
negociant business: Les Vins Fins Anthony Barton. In 2011 The Barton family purchased the historic Chateau
Mauvesin in the small appellation of Moulis en Medoc, introducing considerable renovations and renaming
it Mauvesin Barton. Whether it is their classic, archetypical Saint-Juliens from Léoville or Langoa, elegant and
structured Chateau Mauvesin, or generic Bordeaux from their negociant business, the Bartons are renown for
the breeding, integrity and consistently fair prices that they bring to their wine and their business. It was for
this that Anthony Barton was honored as Decanter Magazine’s ‘Man of the Year’ in 2007.

Tradition, Nature, Terroir
Domaine Rouge-Bleu is nestled in a 400 year old, 8 hectare vineyard planted to Grenache, Carignan, Syrah and
Mourvédre near the 8th century village of Cairanne in the Valee du Rhone. Owner / Winemaker Jean-Marc Espinasse goes to great lengths to keep his vines healthy, many of which are as much as 80 years old. The vines are
never irrigated or fertilized, encouraging the roots to delve deep into the soils where they can absorb an array
of mineral elements which are ultimately expressed in the subtle complexities of the wine. Life in the vineyard is
nurtured both above and beneath the soil using biodynamic farming principals. A healthy microbiology helps
the vines to root down, and a natural environment above ground encourages a population of insects, wild plants,
and trees. All wines are fermented with the native yeasts that thrive in this natural ecosystem, delivering to your
glass the wild aromas that are unique to this special place. Jean-Marc says that a wine’s potential is 90% determined in the vineyard, and that his role is to bring that potential up to 100%. Clusters are fermented without
destemming for added complexity, structure, and ageing potential. Punching-down is not practiced, and pumpovers are minimal to avoid too much extraction and to keep the focus on finesse. Low- intervention winemaking
and traditional viticulture frees the ancient vines to express that most fundamental facet of a fine wine: Terroir.
