Outline of Symposium
我が国における健康長寿社会の形成、および健康医療関連産業を 21 世紀の産業基盤とすると
いう両面から、我が国における医薬品・医療機器・再生医療等製品の研究開発の推進が謳わ
れている。その実現のために健康・医療戦略推進法の成立・施行とともに、健康医療戦略推
進関係の研究開発予算を一元的に管理する日本医療研究開発機構 (Japan Agency for Medical
Research and Development: A-MED) が設立される。本シンポジウムでは法案作成および
A-MED 設立の背景、経緯、目的等について話題提供いただくとともに、我が国における健康
医療戦略への薬理学の寄与について議論する。
The development of advanced medical technologies is anticipated for establishment of a society
in which people enjoy long and healthy lives. At present the nation’s policy for R&D promotion
of medical products including innovative pharmaceuticals is formulated. Act on promotion
of healthcare policy has been enforced and AMED (Japan Agency for medical research
and development) will be founded for ensuring the most suitable research funds for R&D in
academia, hospitals, national institutes, and so on, from April 2015. In this symposium, such
nation’s policies and the contribution of pharmacology will be discussed.
