市長委員会はその責任を果たすべく、公共交通機関計画を作成しました。

計画資金
市長委員会は、本計画の資金調達の方法をいくつも検討し、地方消費税の0.5%増税を選択しました。
この税は、実現するとメトロバンクーバー渋滞解消税と呼
ばれます。
• メトロバンクーバー渋滞解消税は、州消費税の対象となり、
メトロバンクーバー
で販売、流通されているほとんどの商品やサービスに適用されることになります。

• メトロバンクーバー渋滞解消税を通して得られた収益は、市長委員会と公共交通機関
計画に使用されます。
収支は年間の個別監査ならびに公開報告書の対象となります。

Maintain and upgrade the region's major roads.

Build rapid transit along Broadway in Vancouver.
Extend the region's cycling and pedestrian walkway networks.
A new Metro Vancouver Congestion Improvement Tax would be applied as a 0.5% sales
tax on the majority of goods and services that are subject to the Provincial Sales Tax and
are sold or delivered in the region. More detail can be found at www.mayorscouncil.ca.
Revenues would be dedicated to the Mayors' Council transportation and transit plan.
Revenues and expenditures would be subject to annual independent audits and public
reporting.
