TMI 総合法律事務所では、クライアント様を対象に情報提供の場として、毎月無料にて月例セミ
ナーを開催しておりますが、今回は、特別セミナーとして、TMI 総合法律事務所と外国法共同事
業を行っているシモンズ・アンド・シモンズと共同で、上記テーマにてジョイントセミナーを実
施します。
このセミナーでは、TMI 総合法律事務所の柳沢知樹弁護士と、シモンズ・アンド・シモンズのサ
イモン・モーガン弁護士（ロンドン）、アマンダ・リース弁護士（シンガポール）及びアンソニ
ー・ヘイグ弁護士（東京）が、東南アジア、さらには中東やアフリカで投資する日本企業が踏ま
えておくべき紛争解決方法について、国際仲裁を中心にご説明いたします。講師は自らの経験を
基に、国際紛争を早期に、費用効率が高く、かつ最良の結果を生むような実践的なアドバイスを
提供します。
また、シンガポール国際調停センターやシンガポール国際商事裁判所の開設といった近時の動向
にも触れ、これらが日本企業に提供するものについても説明します。
セミナーの大半は英語で行われますが、スライドの日本語訳を提供します。

to our joint seminar.
In this seminar, TMI Associates lawyer Tomoki Yanagisawa and Simmons & Simmons
lawyers Simon Morgan (London), Amanda Lees (Singapore) and Anthony Hague (Tokyo) will
discuss dispute resolution solutions, with an emphasis on arbitration, for Japanese
companies investing into South East Asia and further afield, including the Middle East and
Africa.
Speaking from their own experience, our lawyers will give practical guidance on how to
resolve disputes abroad quickly, cost effectively and for the best result.
We shall also discuss recent developments such as the opening of the Singapore International
Mediation Centre and Singapore International Commercial Court, and explain what they
offer for Japanese companies.
The seminar will mostly be held in English but a Japanese translation of all slides will be
provided.
Please note that there is no charge for attendance at this seminar. There are limited seats

【講師紹介】
サイモン・モーガン弁護士 パートナー（シモンズ・アンド・シモンズ－ロンドン）
Simon Morgan, Partner (Simmons & Simmons – London)
サイモンはシモンズ・アンド・シモンズの国際仲裁グループの共同代表であり、仲裁人としての
経歴を有している。エネルギー、エンジニアリング、通信及び金融サービスを含む多くの事業及
び産業分野での仲裁、訴訟及び調停について幅広い経験を有している。国際商業会議所（ICC）
国際仲裁委員会のメンバー（英国代表）である。
Simon is the co-chair of the Simmons & Simmons international arbitration group and sits as
an arbitrator. He has wide experience of arbitration, litigation and mediation across a range
of business and industry sectors including the energy, engineering, communication and
financial services sectors. He is a member of the ICC Arbitration Commission, as one of
England’s representatives.
アマンダ・リース弁護士 オブ・カウンセル（シモンズ・アンド・シモンズ－シンガポール）
Amanda Lees, Of counsel (Simmons & Simmons – Singapore)
アマンダは国際仲裁及び複数地で並行して行われる複雑訴訟を通じた国際紛争解決を専門として
いる。アジア及びオーストラリアでの国際仲裁（関連する手続停止、訴訟差止及び仲裁差止を含
む）の経験を有している。仲裁人としての経歴を有しており、国際仲裁分野で Best Lawyers
International の一人に選ばれている。
Amanda specialises in cross border dispute resolution through international arbitration and
complex multi-forum litigation. She has experience acting in international arbitrations in
Asia and Australia and related stay, anti-suit and anti-arbitration applications. Amanda also
sits as an arbitrator. Amanda is listed in Best Lawyers International for international
arbitration.
アンソニー・ヘイグ弁護士 マネージング・アソシエイト

Anthony Hague, Managing Associate (Simmons & Simmons Tokyo)
アンソニーはヨーロッパ、アジア及びオーストラリアにおいて、商事及び保険に関する訴訟、仲
裁及び調停を通じた紛争解決の経験を豊富に有している。日本語に堪能で東京を拠点としており、
日本の大手商社に３年間出向した経験を有する。
Anthony is a dispute resolution expert with a wealth of experience in commercial, as well as
insurance, litigation, arbitration and mediation in Europe, Asia and Australia. Anthony, who
is fluent in Japanese, is based in Tokyo and previously spent three years on a secondment to
a major Japanese trading company.
柳沢 知樹 パートナー弁護士（

Tomoki Yanagisawa, Partner (TMI Associates – Tokyo)
日本（05 年）、ニューヨーク州（13 年）、カリフォルニア州（13 年）で各弁護士登録。東京大
学法学部（97 年）、シカゴ大学公共政策大学院（03 年、M.P.P.）、スタンフォード大学ロース
クール（12 年、LL.M.）を各卒業。社団法人共同通信社（97 年-01 年）、東京永和法律事務所

（05～08 年）を経て、08 年 TMI 総合法律事務所勤務。12 年 9 月から 14 年 6 月までサンフラ
ンシスコのモルガン・ルイス＆バッキアス法律事務所勤務、14 年 7 月 TMI 総合法律事務所復帰。
訴訟その他の紛争処理と、通算 13 年の米国在住歴を生かした国際取引対応を主要業務とする。
日本及び海外のクライアントを代理して、幅広い分野での訴訟実績を有している。また、日本企
業が直面する海外紛争対応のアドバイスも行っている。
Tomoki is qualified in Japan (in 2005) and New York and California (in 2013). He obtained
his LL.B. from Tokyo University (1997), M.P.P. from the University of Chicago, Harris School
of Public Policy (2003), and LL.M. from Stanford Law School (2012). Tomoki joined TMI
Associates in 2008 after working at Kyodo News between 1997 and 2001 and Tokyo Eiwa
Law Offices between 2005 and 2008. Most recently, Tomoki worked in the San Francisco
office of Morgan, Lewis & Bockius LLP between September 2012 and June 2014 and
returned to TMI Associates in July 2014. He specialises in dispute resolution including
litigation and other international transaction work utilizing his experience of living in the
United States for thirteen years. Tomoki has experience in a wide range of sectors and has
successfully represented both Japanese and foreign clients. He also advices Japanese
companies on international disputes.
